There are places in this world where roads simply end—but the Gospel does not.

June 2–7, 2026, marked an unforgettable week as our Doulos Partners team traveled to Manaus, Brazil, alongside our ministry partner, BigLife, for a vision and vetting trip deep into the Amazon. Joining us were several Doulos investors and their families who experienced firsthand what God is doing among some of the most remote communities on earth.

After arriving in Manaus, we spent a day experiencing the vibrant culture of the Amazon’s largest city. We explored its remarkable architecture, enjoyed authentic Brazilian cuisine, and met many of the people who call this unique region home. It was a meaningful introduction to a region rich in beauty, history, and opportunity for the Gospel.

Then the adventure truly began. For three unforgettable days, we traveled by boat along the mighty Amazon River to villages accessible only by water. These communities—often called the River People—live far from modern conveniences, yet they are deeply loved by God. Through the faithful work of local believers and our ministry partner, BigLife, the hope of Jesus Christ is reaching even the most isolated corners of the Amazon.

Throughout the week, our team had the privilege of:

• Traveling into remote Amazon villages where we shared the Gospel with families living along the riverbanks.
• Encouraging teenagers through soccer outreach and conversations about Jesus.
• Gathering with families to watch the Jesus Film.
• Meeting with BigLife leaders to hear how disciple-making movements are multiplying throughout the Amazon.
• Praying with individuals and families and witnessing lives being transformed through Christ.

One of the greatest blessings of the trip was watching our Doulos investors and their families move beyond hearing stories to becoming part of them. Together, they prayed with hurting families, shared the Gospel, encouraged local believers, and experienced firsthand how God is transforming lives through faithful disciple-making.

These moments remind us why Doulos exists—to identify, strengthen, and support faithful ministry partners who are carrying the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Seeing the Church flourish in places that seem forgotten by the world is a powerful reminder that no village is beyond God’s reach and no person is beyond His love.

We are grateful for our ministry partner, BigLife, and for leaders Forrest Head, Chris Waidelich, Genivaldo Febrônio, and Luciano Graça, whose commitment continues to advance the Gospel throughout Brazil.

Will you pray with us?

• Pray for the River People of the Amazon to continue responding to the hope found in Jesus Christ.
• Pray for the local believers and indigenous leaders who are faithfully making disciples in these remote communities.
• Pray that God would continue to strengthen our partnership with BigLife as, together, we work toward seeing a healthy, sustainable, reproducing church in every village, everywhere.

Thank you for faithfully standing with us through your prayers, generosity, and encouragement. Because of your partnership, the Gospel is reaching places where roads cannot—but God has already gone before us.

Serving Christ together,
The Doulos Partners Team
